Chemical Exfoliator Guide

Hi everyone!

These are 5 things that you have to take care of before you start using Chemical Exfoliator (CE) :

1. Your basic skincare routine must be strong - ada basic skincare yang kukuh.

What does that mean?

You already found the right product (cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen) for you and you are no longer in the phase where you don't know which product(s) might work for you. To jump into chemical exfoliant, you must be in the phase where you already figure your skin out. Your skin must also be hydrated enough and if it becomes dehydrated or dry because of CE you know what product to use to top up the hydration.

2. You know the difference between AHA & BHA.

AHA is for - tiny bumps, jerawat pasir, whitehead, acne scars, dullness, uneven skin tone

Examples of AHA - Mandelic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid

BHA is for - clogged pores, blackhead, acne

3. You know the difference between 'purging' and 'breakout'.

4. You know how to use it and when to use it

You can apply your CE right after cleansing or you can also apply it after your toner. You can apply it 1-2 times a week and gradually increase your usage frequency. The most you can use is 5 times a week (if you have oily skin).
